FLOWQUIP MINING AND INDUSTRIAL

Flushing of hydraulic and lubrication oil systems is employed to ensure that new rotating and hydraulic equipment will start up and operate as designed, significantly reducing the potential for premature failure. Maintenance and downtime on equipment can be minimized by performing an effective system cleaning during commissioning and following maintenance and repair services. Any facility that has a low tolerance for equipment failure will find this service key to their preventative maintenance program.
Removal of harmful contaminants is key to keeping your rotating and
hydraulic equipment operating at peak performance.

OIL ANALYSIS IN THE FIELD
Reasons for Lube Oil Flushing

Flowquip uses Parker Hannifin’s icountPD which represents the most up-to-date technology in solid particle
contamination analysis. The icountPD is a compact, laser-based particle detector module that provides a solution to fluid management and contamination control.

The icountPD measures particle contamination continuously and updates the display, output
options and limit relay every second with a ISO Cleanliness Code. This unit does not perform a ‘one-off’ test. This means
that even if the Measurement Period is set to 60 seconds, the display, output and limit relay all
report the presence of dirt in the oil in just a few seconds – it does not wait until the end of the
Measurement Period before reporting the result.

Laser Partical Counter
Patch Testing

Oil cleanliness can be visually analyzed in the field without waiting for lab results.

The test provides the opportunity to see the type, concentration, and actual size of particulate contamination
inside the system during the flushing process.

Patch testing is an ISO 4406 approved form of oil testing.
